1864 ames artillery sword
 
This Ames M-1840 Light Artillery Sword has a  Civil War Date of 1864, along with US, the Late War Ames stamp has worn off.  Grip is tight, retaining 99% of the original leather with only minor scuffing, and all of the wire. The guard has a rack number 59 stamp.  Blade is bright and straight to the point, with no sharpening and a small edge nick showing service. Scabbard in good shape with no dents .  Overall a nice representative example,   $850.00
