U200 This is an original, cast-iron large oval fire mark plaque with an embossed train and the letter U-F , holes on each side for mounting, In the earliest days of insurance companies issued plaques, or fire marks, where given to policy holders to attach to their homes showing them covered. The assumption was that if a brigade responded to a building that lacked a marker , the brigade would let the structure burn. Measurements are: 12" x 9"

The paint is untouched and has a nice dry look, with lots of crazing , the varnish has yellowed a little and has also began to craze This is the only example of a Clown Sprinkling Sam, we have ever seen, in very good condition 35" high x 8" wide
