Buttocks Basket with old natural patina, Oak ribs, oak splint, and hand carved handle. Excellent condition, with no broken ribs,. This type of Basket is also called melon basket or fanny basket, peanut basket, and the one I like is gizzard basket. Note the eye of the wind God on each end of the basket where the handle meets the rim. The rim is single wrapped, this basket is very well made and tight with no movement. From a private collection in Maryland, measurements are  12" tall to the top of the handle, 11 1/2" x 12 1/2"
