U206  Sailors took a pride in their sea-chests, often painting a picture of a ship inside the lid and fitting them with strong ornamental rope handles. This Seaman Chest has three stars painted on top on a pewter gray back ground  and two ships painted on the inside of the lid. six board chest with rose head  nail construction.
