**SOLD** L498 Small 19th century Shaker firkin bearing original dry, red painted surface. Thick walled staved and bentwood construction with wire bail swing handle with wooden handle grip that is secured to the firkin with diamond shaped bail plates. Overlapping finger on all three wooden bands are secured with small copper tacks. Natural patina interior.
Measurements: 6 3/8” diameter (Bottom) x 5 7/8” diameter (top) x 6 ½” tall.
