M102 Outstanding 19th century original painted checkers game board shows an outstanding original painted wood surface with applied molding surrounding the edges. The playing field is painted in red and white with black outlining on a red background, with white painted triangular designs outlined in black adorning all four sides of the playing field. Shaped applied molding secured with square head nails surrounds the entire board and retains remnants of several layers of paint, including bittersweet red and gold gild.
Measurements: 18” wide x 1 ¼” thick x 22 ¼” tall.
