M177 Early 19th century Pennsylvania wooden framed looking glass with the original early silvered mirror encased in a molded edge frame retaining its original red painted surface. Heavy, thick glass with losses to the silvering – indicative of age. The wood is pine. The frame is square head nail construction, and a thin-sawed wooden backing is held in place with tiny square head nails.
Measurements: 8 ½” wide x 10 ½” tall x ¾” thick. Frame surrounding the looking glass is 7/8” wide.
