**SOLD** M59 Identified, very well constructed, 19th century round woven splint oak swing handle basket with original surface, bearing a thick, sturdy hand-carved steamed and bent swing handle that branded on the top with the initials “E.D.”. The loops that secure the swing handle are notched and woven into the sides. The double wooden rim is single wrapped.
The tightly woven bottom includes a deeply bumped-up interior for appropriate weight distribution of contents, as well as added airflow. Great condition. Very sturdy basket.
Measurements: 14” x 13 ¾” top diameter x 10” tall sides. ~17 ¼” tall with handle up.
