E206 EARLY 19TH CENTURY  BLUE PAINTED PINE PENNSYLVANIA  BLANKET CHEST, This is a wonderful early 19th Century painted blanket chest from South eastern Pennsylvania,  with  ORIGINAL  blue paint.  The surface undisturbed, the exterior of the case crafted of six broad planks of Eastern White Pine, the sides and bottom joined with exposed dovetail construction.  The base is affixed with  small nails  and the feet are delicate little brackets. The molding around the top is affixed with pegs set at regular intervals, the lid lifting on original wrought iron strap hinges dovetailing to the front and sides
Measurements:  37 1/2" W x 213/4" D x 23 3/4" H
